We are dedicated Hall County citizens that believe in efficient and effective government. We're business owners and schoolteachers. Lawyers and students. Some of us put in 40 hours a week on the farm. Others, in the factory. Still others, at a desk or a cubicle. 

And some of us work at the most important job of all, stay-at-home parent.

We are your neighbors, your friends, and your family. And we're eager to introduce ourselves.

We work tirelessly to turn Hall County blue. Through community events, fund-raisers, or just helping build our membership one person at a time. Our monthly meetings are open to all, and provide a chance for fellowship with our fellow Democrats. Our large projects, such as our 2008 For The People Rally, attract attention from local media as well as our friends in Atlanta (and elsewhere).

Everyone is welcome to be a member of the Hall County Democratic Party.

You may email our chairman, Jim Taflinger, to ask any specific questions, but here's a good primer to get you started.

The Monthly Meetings are a crucial part of the process. Come to a meeting and participate with your thoughts and ideas. Or, you can sit quietly and just observe how we do things. Rarely do the meetings last longer than an hour, and we often get a lot accomplished as we plan our future events.

If you feel comfortable and would like to take a more active role, there are two ways to contribute- first, through your volunteerism, and second, through a membership fee. We encourage our members to contribute a $25 annual fee, but it's not mandatory. Some of our members contribute more, and some don't make the annual contribution at all. It's not a big deal.

We'd rather have a new member than a check.

Because we have a fierce dedication to human rights for all people, regardless of race, creed, sex or nationality.

Because we believe our government works best when Democratic principles are respected.

Because we remember when Hall County was a blue county- and we feel it worked pretty well back then.

We're committed to providing a better community for our children and our parents, and all the other ages in-between.
